*Larger pallet rack frame footplates are often used in applications where there is a concern of the rack falling down aisle. Down aisle also meaning tipping sideways down the pallet rack aisle sideways. In this application the larger footplates are used to stabilize the racking offering it additional side way support.

*Large pallet rack frame footplates are also used in applications where there is a concern of the rack falling cross aisle. Cross aisle also meaning tipping forward or backward across the aisle. In this application the larger footplates are used to stabilize the racking offering it additional front to back support.

In conclusion over sized footplates are used in seismic applications and also in warehouse applications where more stability is needed.
